Hormone Evaluation and Therapy

hormone-evalHormonal imbalances can cause a wide array of uncomfortable physical and emotional symptoms and may trigger or exacerbate a number of age-related diseases. Many of these diseases can be prevented and/or made much less severe by proper hormone optimization early on. At Med Stop, we offer customized hormone evaluation and therapy in order to ensure that you have the right amount of the hormones you need in order to prevent disease, stay healthy as you age, and feel happy and energized.

How do you detect a hormonal imbalance?

Upon your first visit information will be gathered about your history and personal health goals. A full hormone evaluation will be performed to measure your hormone levels and deficiencies. Hormones can be evaluated through a variety of methods including saliva testing, blood diagnostics and urine analysis. Our doctor then uses the results to determine the appropriate treatment plan for balancing your body’s natural chemistry. Med Stop offers extended appointments for new patients to ensure our doctor is able to address all of the signs, symptoms and questions that new patients may have.

What is the treatment for a hormonal imbalance?

If our doctor finds that you have a hormonal imbalance, he will create a customized hormone therapy treatment plan for you, which may include bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), an all natural hormone replacement method where you receive hormones derived from plant and animal sources to replace the hormones your body is missing, via Transdermal, oral or injectable treatment.

What are the benefits of BHRT?

BHRT is preferred by many over traditional hormone replacement therapy because it’s known to be safer, easier, more affordable, and usually causes less side effects. The dosage and strength is customizable to suit each individual patient’s needs, and the hormones are molecularly identical to the hormones that your body produces.
